History
Established in 2009
Under Minerva is named after our community's guardian Goddess, Minerva. She stands at the high point of Greenwood Cemetery commemorating the Battle of Brooklyn during the American Revolution. She represents resolution in times of war, commerce, art, music, and wisdom; much of what our gallery is about and exists within. Up the hill from our gallery, she looks at her friend, Lady Liberty, and they wave to each other across the harbor- it's a beautiful view that many Brooklynites have fought to protect.
